Questions and answers
How do I split a PDF into separate files?
Add your PDF and choose "By ranges" or "Every N pages". Press Split, and the files download together in one ZIP.
How do I extract a single page or a page range from a PDF?
Choose "Extract pages" and select the pages you need on the previews; they are saved as one new PDF. You can also type a single page, like 5, or a range, like 2-4, under "By ranges".
How do I enter page ranges to split a PDF?
Separate pages with commas and write ranges with a hyphen, for example 1-3, 5, 8-10. That example makes three files, and the tool shows the result before you split.
Can I split a confidential PDF without uploading it?
Yes. The PDF is split in your browser on your device and is never sent to a server.
Does a split PDF keep the original metadata?
No. The new files do not carry over document metadata such as Author, Creator, Producer or XMP. Data needed to display the pages, for example fonts, ICC profiles, and JPEG 2000 or inline images, is kept as is. Form fields and the values typed into them, attachments and JavaScript are also not copied. Web and email links are kept; links that jump to another page inside the document and comments are removed.
